Bulgara

Bulgara is a popular wine label owned by the Strandja Winery – Chateau Rossenovo. The plant was set up in 1998 and lies near the little village of Rosenovo, the Burgass region of Bulgaria. The plant’s production units are situated in a most picturesque place on the foothill of Stranja, almost in the very centre of the vineyards with the total area of about 300 hectares. It is a well-known winegrowing region where such sorts as Cabernet, Merlot, Muscat Ottonel, Ugni Blanc, Rkatsiteli and others, are nursed. The vast experience of the company’s staff and old traditions of winemaking produce excellent results. Winemaking is a traditional occupation of natives and, although the state has done very little to preserve this lucrative branch of agriculture over the last 5-6 years, Chateau Rossenovo’s staff tries not only to preserve but also to improve the reputation of Bulgarian winemaking.
The main reason for producing high-quality wines is an extensive control over the winegrowing process and the analysis of its technologic ripeness. 100% of the crude processed by Stranja – Chateau Rossenovo comes from the winery’s own vineyards. This is the only way to guarantee high-quality organically-grown products. Stranja – Chateau Rossenovo wines have the state status of vintage wines of the declared geographical origin with the controlled origin name.

Next year this award went to another wine produced by Stranja-Chateau Rossenovo – Young Cabernet of Vintage 2000.
