Viña Casas Patronales, a family tradition. Three old “casonas” (large, traditional houses) are the basis for this vineyards name, located in the San Clemente area near Talca, in the Maule Valley. Its magnificent vineyards grow in a valley that produces the best grapes for the creation of fine wines. Their associates, all men connected with the area, have created this winery in which the best quality grapes of the farm are always destined for Casas Patronales. In Chilean history, Casas Patronales has great importance since they were the main point where not only productive but social, cultural, religious and political events were generated.

Although Chile made its reputation on bargain Cabernets and Chardonnays, its greatest grape may turn out to be the noble Sauvignon Blanc.

Casas Patronales Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Tasting Notes

Bright yellow grass in color, this wine shows a very intense and complex nose with notes of passion fruit and lemon typical of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The palate is concentrated, powerful and fresh with a nice balance of flavors and a long clean finish.

Wine Enthusiast magazine “Best Buys”

This is a step up from previous efforts for this winery. This Sauvignon Blanc shows enticing aromas of lemon pastry, melon and vanilla. The palate is plush but still fresh with white peach and apple flavors. Good length and balance.
