A recipe for success of “Golitsyn Wines” TM is simple: it lies in use of natural product only, sophisticated winemaking technology, the basis of which is a heritage of a great Crimean winemaker Duke L.S. Golitsyn, as well as in quality control at each stage of production (from vine growing to the product supply to the consumers).

Saperavi Grape Characteristics

This late ripening variety got his name (“Saperavi” translated from the Georgian is “dyer” or “blood of land”) due to abundance of coloring matters in its berries. As distinguished from most of red grape varieties, berries of Saperavi have light-rosy sap. Besides Georgia, it is also cultivated in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, in Crimea, Russia (Stavropol Territory and Krasnodar Territory). Wines produced of Saperavi maturate very slowly and preserve their properties for a long time (50 years and more).

Golitsin Saperavi Tasting Notes

The color is deep, velvety, dark-crimson. The flavor is with light tones of raspberry, violet, and chokeberry, giving the Saperavi wine a harmonious, with pleasant roughness – complex bouquet with blackberry and mulberry spices.

Golitsin Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Notes

A known French type of grape cultivated commonly in middle and southern parts of viticulture of CIS countries. This variety is a middle-late ripening one.

Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by high ecological and geographical flexibility: almost everywhere it produces high-quality wines not only in a table line, but also in a dessert one.
The color is bright, ruby, sometimes dark-crimson with oniony tint. Golitsin Cabernet Sauvignon is flavorful, fine, refreshing, with characteristic odor of forest flowers, with saturated, mild, with tones of almond, cherry and prunes, meetly harsh taste.

Food Pairing

Recommended to serve with desserts, fruits, sweets, cheese.
