This is the best low-price wine I’ve ever had. I have doubts about how old those “old” vines are, but it’s still good.
This is the best boxed wine I have ever had, and the best zinfendal for sure.
This is an excellent Red Wine! I have always been a big fan of red wines however this is my first ‘box’ of the old vine zinfandel and I just have really enjoyed it!
Tried this on a lark and LOVED it! Give it a go yourself — the Old Vine Zin is every bit its description.

This is a fine Zin, it is smooth, yet full flavored, black berries and other berries are evident.
The price is low for this quality of wine.
It comes in a bag in a box, which means the wine will be good for at least four weeks. As the wine is dispensed the bag shrinks but it does not expose itself to air, thus fresh wine for four to six weeks.
I have always been a big wine drinker and I have had my fair share of great wines. But we finally have a little one on the way so the bride told me I have to cut back on how much I spent on wine (which was A LOT!) Much to my suprise this wine is really good! If you gave it to someone and never said it was from a box it could easily pass for a $20 bottle of Zin. Easily! Enjoy!
Great wine for the value. Not exactly as viscous as a huge Lodi Zin, but for the value and purpose, it’s a great drink. Big ripe dark fruit flavors, medium body and light tannins make this a refreshing table wine with a ‘real’ feel. Certainly recommended for the boxed wine fan. For anyone just wanting to give boxed wine a shot, this is were to start.
I enjoy this red wine. the box wine is a great idea to savor the taste. those I share with are very surprised at the great taste from this bag in box product.
Obviously this is not a $20/bottle Zinfandel, but it is superior to most Zins now sold in the $5-9 range. Wonderful fruity aroma, smooth, long aftertaste. I hope the grape supply chain remains intact to I can continue enjoying this wine. Boxed cabernets can be good but all are far more naive than this one.
Great everyday box wine for those that open too many bottles. This one will last a week or so and still taste good for everyday drinking. A cut above all other good boxes.

My absolute favorite choice for inexpensive, good wine.
Have tasted blind against many Zins and Primitivos and Bota Box always does well.
Zin is my FAVORITE red and I have spent up to $50 for a good bottle. When my friend told me about Bota Box, I was skeptical—especially since I prefer to drink anything from a glass container, NOT plastic. This is such a good value and delicious, to boot. Love the move to green values: recyclable box, no chemical glue. Now, if they could only find a way to get rid of the plastic. Delicious cherry and berry flavors–light on the tongue. I drink way too much of this because it tastes so GOOD!
Wow! I love old vine Zins and I couldn’t believe they had one in a box. Bought the last Zin in Bota versus the Black Box. It is delicious for this price! No worries about it going bad! lol I’m worried that I may enjoy this a little too much.
Damn good for cheap wine… only 12.80 at our local liquor store.
Have had wine two or three times the price for a single bottle and it beats them.
The Pinot Grigio is superb. For $50 for the equivalent of a case of other wines, it can’t be beat.
I live now in Texas but spent more than 70 years in Calif where great wine comes from. I can find BOTA BOX[ i forgot the original family name, Delcato I think]. I have to pay over $18 for it but well worth it. Old Vine Zin, Malbec, Merlot and Cab is my fav.
I liked this very much. My wife loved it. She liked it better than a 90 point wine spectator wine.I rate 90+.
If you are into saving money, but still having fine wine, you mat want to try this one!

Every now and then you come across a great wine that is not expensively priced. The Bota Box Old Vine Zinfandel is one of those. I never bought boxed wines until I tried this one and it made me think twice as I bought another right after I finished the first. I liked it very much.
